Parent, McLaughlin & Nangle is pleased to announce the appointment of Brenda J. DeCosta as Shareholder, effective September 1, 2009.

Brenda joined the Firm in 1992, upon graduating summa cum laude from Bridgewater State College. Much of Brenda's 17 years at PMN has been spent providing audit and advisory services to clients in the not-for-profit and financial services sectors. At PMN she serves as a member of the Not-for-Profit, Financial Services and Staff Professsional Development Groups. Brenda is a lead instructor for the Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional Program, a national initiative developed by member firms of the Not-for-Profit Services Association.

An Easton resident, Brenda is a member of the Taunton Area Chamber of Commerce and Metro South Chamber of Commerce and serves as the Secretary of the Town of Easton Audit Committee. She is the Immediate Past President of the Not-for-Profit Services Association and is a member of the Financial Managers Society, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.
