Judy Javidpour, Partner, Speaks to High School Students About a Career in Accounting

During June, Judy Javidpour, Partner at PMN, spoke to a group of students enrolled in an accounting course at Shawsheen Valley Technical High School in Billerica about the opportunities and career options available to those who choose accounting as their major in college. Judy shared her personal experiences in selecting a major, explained the differences between public and private accounting and described a typical day working at a public accounting firm.

Employees from Parent, McLaughlin & Nangle participated in the CPA Day of Service, sponsored by the MSCPA, by holding a food drive to benefit the Greater Boston Food Bank. 280 pounds of food were collected by PMN employees, which is equivalent to 215 meals for those in need. Alumni/ae Event Held June 16th

Parent, McLaughlin & Nangle held an Alumni/ae Event on Thursday evening, June 16, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Newton Marriott. Held every 3-4 years, it gave both former colleagues and current employees an opportunity to visit and network with each other in a relaxed atmosphere. Approximately 60 people attended.

PMN Chosen as Official Accounting Firm for New England Emmy Awards

Parent, McLaughlin & Nangle was again chosen as the official accounting firm for the 33rd annual New England Emmy Awards. The Award Banquet was held Saturday, May 22, at Gillette Stadium, Foxboro.
