Joseph C. Craig, Principal, Retires After 20 Years with PMN

Joseph C. Craig, Principal, retired on August 31, 2011, after over 20 years with Parent, McLaughlin & Nangle. As a respected accounting and auditing technical expert, his illustrious career included time with local Boston firms Tonneson & Larson and Patterson, Teele & Dennis, and 20 years at the Boston office of the national firm Pannell Kerr Forster where he was a partner and lead Accounting & Auditing technical person. After leaving Pannell Kerr he worked for a short period of time at Tonneson & Company before joining PMN as its sole quality control person.

During his distinguished career he was a very active member of the Masschusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants where he served on the Board of Directors and as a vice president and was awarded the MSCPA's Professional Service Award. He was a member of the MSCPA Legislation Committee and was involved in successfully changing the requirements of the Masschusetts Annual Report of Corporations, the Annual Report for Public Charities and the writing of the Massachusetts Public Accountancy Law. He is a long time member of the Accounting and Auditing Committee of the MSCPA and has served several terms as its chairperson. As a committee member, he was actively involved in responding to exposure drafts of technical pronouncements of the AICPA and FASB. He also has been a long time Treasurer and Director of the MSCPA PAC.
