PMN Employees Participate in 2011 Christmas in the City
PMN once again participated in Christmas in the City 2011 (CITC). Barry Chait, a Senior Tax Manager at PMN, was on hand for the festivities, his 17th year volunteering for the event, and was joined this year by Jim Kennedy and Gary Soiref, Partners, and Dan Brennan, Audit Senior Manager.
Christmas in the City is a not-for-profit, 100% volunteer organization, founded by Jake and Sparky Kennedy in 1989, which supports and mentors Boston’s homeless families. At the event, each child receives a gift from their “wish list.” The party has now expanded to welcome 3,000 homeless children and their parents. With the help of hundreds of volunteers, children spend the afternoon playing in a “Winter Wonderland” filled with rides, ponies, moon bouncers, and of course, Santa Claus. In addition to the gift from their “wish list”, each child also receives a stuffed animal, hats, gloves, scarves and educational books. Parents and children are able to enjoy ice cream from Taylor Freezer and Rosev Dairy Foods and a nice holiday meal.
